Electronic Engineer, Post-Doc Researcher @ Italian National Research Council (CNR) - Nanoscience Department

Alessandro Paghi received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. cum laude in Electronic and Information Engineering from the University of Pisa in 2018 and 2022, respectively. Until November 2022, he was a post-doctoral research fellow of the Information Engineering Department of the University of Pisa. Currently, he is post-doctoral researcher at the Nanoscience Department of the Italian National Research Council. His main research interests focused on the development of micro- and nano- structured materials, devices, and systems for unconventional DC-to-GHz electronics and UV-VIS-NIR photonics.

"The manufacturing of a novel generation of micro- and nano- gas sensors are based on standard and novel Silicon technologies. The development of new devices and architectures, using novel micro- and nano- materials and novel data acquisition e processing systems, is the key to improve gas sensor abilities. The design, fabrication and characterization of an electronic gas sensor is a multidisciplinary activity requiring multiple skills, one of these is owned by electronic engineers."
